When faced with life’s challenges, we can often doubt God’s love for us and question our worth. Did you know that about 80% of women struggle with low self-esteem, value, and worth? We feel like we’re not enough, and no matter how hard we try, we don’t measure up. Can you relate? You and I don’t have to stay in that place of feeling inadequate. There is hope.

One day during my quiet time, I felt bombarded and overwhelmed by all the ways I didn’t measure up. Then I started to pray. When I stopped and got quiet, I remembered a couple’s generosity in 2021. The couple organized a book signing event for Christian authors and hosted me in their home for the night.
They left their bed for me while they slept on the couch. As I reflect on their kindness, the Lord reminded me of his love for me. Then the song, the blood that Jesus shed for me, started playing in my mind.
So, as I ponder on this flashback, I notice that many times, God expresses his love for me through others. They go out of their way to show me kindness, but I often miss it because I am looking for love in a specific way. Does that ever happen to you? Sometimes I forget that I am loved and need a reminder. Do you forget and need a reminder too?
Uncover your Value: God shows his love through Jesus’ sacrifice
Have you been struggling lately to remember how much God loves you? I don’t know where you are today, but if you’re doubting your value and worth or having difficulty remembering how much God loves you, the Lord wants you to know that he loves you. How does he love you? Through the shed blood of his only Son, you are loved and free.
1 Peter 1, verses 18-19, paints a powerful picture of God’s love for you and me. Here is what it says.
God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. 1 Peter 1:18-19
What does that mean? It means God loves you and me so much. You and I are highly significant and valuable to God, and he was willing to pay a huge price to save us from our empty life of hopelessness, sin, and despair.
How did he do that? God purchased us not with gold, silver, or some imperishable thing. He paid for you, for me, and for each one of us with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, his only Son, the spotless lamb of God.
Maybe you are in a dark place and feel like God has forgotten about you, or you’re struggling with your value and worth. Perhaps you see only your perceived flaws.
Let this verse from 1 Peter 1:18-19 speak to your heart today and remind you how much God loves you. It’s time to take a deep breath and rest in the knowledge of God’s infinite, unconditional love for you.You are Worthy and Valued. Believe it!
Instead of focusing on your flaws, have faith that you can overcome whatever is weighing on your heart or standing in the way between you and God’s Love for you.
Let me invite you to Grab a cup of coffee, sit quietly with God, and remind yourself of His limitless love and acceptance. As you meditate on 1 Peter 1:18-19, allow God’s presence to fill your mind and heart with joy, peace, and hope as He gently reassures you that nothing can ever stop Him from loving you.
Did you catch that? Nothing can ever stop God from loving you and me.
Because he is for you, he is for me. We are unstoppable. You and I can trust him to guide us by his Spirit and to walk with us every step, every moment, and in every decision that we make. His presence will ensure that his love shines through in all you do.
Friend, You are beloved and cherished. God is rooting for you each day. You are an incredible creation beautifully crafted by our Heavenly Father. I invite you to take time to be still and experience first-hand the beauty of God’s boundless love for you today. Then go out and be a shining light to all those around you!
Soak in His truth and accept His love… You are loved beyond measure!
Let’s lean on Jesus’ powerful blood to give us strength daily. His blood transcends all obstacles! Its power reaches the highest mountain and flows to the lowest valleys of worry, fear, anxiety, despair, and the darkest pit.
