Perhaps you too are in a similar place today wondering how you would make it through this pandemic without a road map, a clear path, and a future that looks uncertain.

3 Steps to Finding your way out of Chaos

Jesus told the disciples he was going away to prepare a place for them. While the disciples weren’t sure what Jesus was talking about, Thomas was the only one brave enough to speak up (John 14:1-7). Here is their conversation:

Jesus: You know the way to the place where I am going.

Thomas: Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?

Jesus: I am the Way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Although Thomas and the disciples didn’t fully know where Jesus was going, he encouraged them to believe in him and dismiss all troubles from their hearts. He told them he is the way, the truth, and life and he is going to prepare a place for them.

I am the Way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well.

John 14:6-7

Just as Jesus encouraged the disciples, his words are still true today for you and me. He is the Way to abundant life. He is the Way out of our anxieties, sadness, fears, and every hopeless situation.

Like Thomas, we too can bring our doubts and worries to him. If we stay close to him, Jesus will comfort and lead us. Jesus is the Way.

3 Steps to Finding Your Way

Looking back to that season in 2007, when I whispered a prayer, Lord, how am I ever going to get out of this mess?  I heard these words in my spirit:

  •         Trust Me
  •         Follow and lean on Me
  •         Obey and do what I tell you

While this roadmap didn’t have any details, it was strong enough to stand on. Daily, as I practiced trusting, leaning, and obeying, through prayer, mediation, and reading the scriptures, God renewed my faith and gave me  confident hope.

Looking back, I never imagined that I would share and encourage others, but during a time of great distress, Jesus became my Way.

Friend, I understand how it feels to experience sadness, fear, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions when life is upside down and things are out of control. No matter the troubles you are facing today, you can trust God with them, because Jesus has already made a way through his precious gift and sacrifice on the Cross.

Following Jesus is the best Way out of chaos and confusion. He is an excellent guide. He will guide you if you are willing to let him show you the Way.

Friend, God always makes a way where there seems to be no way. He works in ways that we cannot see. He will make a way for you and me.

His Way brings:

  • Order to chaos
  • Peace to hopeless situations
  • Provision in place of lack
  • Contentment and deep joy
  • Deliverance
  • Purpose and Meaning

Are you ready to let him be your Way out of chaos?
