O Lord, our God, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
The heavens declare your glory,
The firmament testifies to your great work.
By wisdom you fashioned the earth,
By understanding, you designed the heavens,
By knowledge, you divided the deep into the sky and seas,
By your wisdom the clouds know when to produce dew.
When I consider the heavens, the work of your hands,
The moon, stars and all the creation which you ordained,
I can’t help but wonder why you care about mortals, sons and daughters of men.
Yet, by wisdom you spoke my life into being,
By wisdom you spoke my husband’s life into being,
By wisdom, you created our family,
You crafted each of us delicately inside and out,
In our mothers’ wombs, long before we had breath.
You are aware of everything about each one down to the smallest detail.
We praise you because we are fearfully and wonderfully made,
Marvelous are your works!
Your thoughts and plans for each one are precious,
They are grand in scope and too numerous to count,
More than all the grains of sand in the earth!
Daily, you hold each one in your hands,
We are still near to you.
O Lord, our God, how majestic is your name in the all the earth.
Friend, do you know that the Lord, our Maker cares about you down to the smallest detail? My life is not perfect and I guess yours isn’t too. Nevertheless, when I reflect on God’s daily mercies and love towards me, I am compelled to pause and give him praise! You and I are unquely created in wisdom by God.
Prayer: Father, I thank you for the wisdom that created me; thank you that I am uniquely made by you. Thank you for holding me near you each day.Help me remember this when the going gets tough. Amen.
