As our country continues to experience the ravages of this pandemic, let us come together, be fearless, and hold on to hope. Let us go confidently to God in prayer and ask for his supernatural help. Join me in a fearless prayer for our country.

Fearless Prayer fro our Nation during COVID-19 Pandemic.

Prayer for our Nation-Lord, Heal our Land

How can we sing the songs of the Lord while in a foreign land? Psalm 137:4

Lord, this coronavirus pandemic is a foreign land of disease, job loss, sickness, death, economic hardship, and life turned upside down. We look to you O Lord, our help comes from you. We humble ourselves and ask for forgiveness where we have gone off track. Be our refuge, confidence, and hope in these challenging times. Deliver us from this terrible disease by your righteous hand and draw our hearts back to you. Your love and mercy endure forever, thank you for healing our nation and not abandoning us.

Prayer for our Leaders

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 1 Timothy 2:1-2

We bring our leaders and all those responsible for making decisions and guiding us through this pandemic. Grant them wisdom to lead us, guide them, and help them trust you. Renew their strength daily and help them catch a glimpse of where you are working in all this. Thank you for helping them communicate clearly and work well together and with the public.

Prayer for Families

You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. Psalm 145:16

This new way of life is wearing on our physical, emotional, and mental well-being. As we are all cooped indoors, give us grace, kindness, and compassion for each other. We trust you with all our needs. You are Jehovah Jireh, our provider. Thank you for supplying our needs and meeting our desires abundantly.

Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. Isaiah 43:1-2

Lord, we confess our weariness and concerns about our finances, jobs, and how to pay the bills. Thank you for assuring us of your presence even when we pass through difficult times. Help us release our fears, anxieties, stress and hold on to your hope during this pandemic. Thank you for calming our fears and keeping us in your perfect peace. You are a good Father who will never leave us nor forsake us. Thank you for helping us to rest in you.

Prayer for the Sick and Afflicted

Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. James 5:14-15

We bring the sick who are isolated and dealing with feelings of fear and loneliness. Take away their fears and grant them peace and comfort. We pray for the healing and restoration of their bodies, minds, and souls. Restore their health and let them testify to your goodness. Thank you, for sustaining them on their sick beds and redeeming them from the valley of the shadow of death in the name of Jesus. We thank you that by your stripes they are healed. For all who lost loved ones, Lord please comfort and wrap them in your love and embrace.  Amen

Prayer for Health Care workers, first responders and Medical Leaders

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2

Our medical personnel are on the frontlines and working long hours. Thank you for giving them courage and desire to serve. We hide them and their families under the shadow of your wings. Jesus be a shield of protection around them and keep them safe from this deadly virus. Give them insight on how to care for the sick, renew their energy, and sustain them on their long shifts. Protect their families. Inspire medical researchers and give them creative ideas to find the right treatment and cure.

We also pray for delivery, grocery, and postal workers and ask for protection as they go about their work.

You are my God, and I will praise you; you are my God, and I will exalt you. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 118:28-29

Lord, we know that you are working all things together for our good according to your plan and purpose. We will not lose heart because our confidence in you will be richly rewarded. Thank you that you are with us and will never leave nor forsake us. We praise you because you are worthy of our praise in bad times and in good times. Thank you for seeing us through this pandemic and for your love that endures forever. In Jesus Name Amen.
