Scripture Treasure
There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord. Proverbs 21:30
Let me share how this verse came to life for me during one of the many visits to the Emergency Room. The situation was critical. A loved one was struggling and in severe pain. As I watched my loved one, I felt helpless. I whispered, Lord, you are still God. You are on the throne. I am afraid, hold my hand and walk me through this situation.
Physically nothing changed after my prayer. My loved one’s condition was still critical but internally, I felt peace wash over me.
Day by day, moment by moment, I leaned on God and acknowledged that he is in control and I am not. I asked him to help me surrender the outcome of this latest crisis to him.
I asked God to help me trust that he knows best and that nothing can thwart his plan and purpose for my loved one.
Friend, do you have a loved one who is struggling? Perhaps you are struggling with depression, your health, finances, marriage, job, or your children. God has a plan and purpose for your struggle.
Can you imagine what embracing the words of Proverbs 21:30 will do to your attitude, joy, and peace?
If we believe that God is in control, then we can ask for his peace and his help to be content with his plan and purpose in every situation.
When you and I lean on our understanding and want to control our situation, we will fret. Without God’s input, we will worry and be miserable. Worry allows the enemy to steal your joy and peace.
Friend, God can do all things, no purpose of his can be thwarted.
Can you imagine what your life would look like if you believed that nothing can stand against God’s plan and purpose for your life? What situation do you need to surrender to him?
