Tody’s focus is on prayer for our teenager sons and daughters. Are you a parent of teenagers? How would you like to improve your relationship with your teenage son or daughter?
Do you remember what it was like to be a teenager? Looking back, it was a time of getting to know myself and my feelings, having friends and being accepted. It was a time of riding on an emotional roller coaster, sometimes happy, sometimes sad, but not fully understanding why.
Besides the physical and emotional changes, teenagers today face enormous amounts of peer pressure, bullying, depression and self-esteem issues.
Teenagers need lots of Tender Loving Care (TLC), support, acceptance, and understanding.
As we think about our teenagers and our relationship with them, let us not be agitated but in quietness and trust, let us turn to God in prayer and ask him for strength and guidance.
Prayer is a powerful tool for improving your relationship with your teenager.
Our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace. Psalm 144:12
All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace. Isaiah 54:13
Righteousness goes before him and prepares the way for his steps. Psalm 85:13
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4
