The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.(Psalm 19:1)
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell,
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well
This was the view from my yard as I drove home Monday night. I looked up and there was the full moon, bright and lightening up dark the sky. As I reflected upon this beauty, I was reminded that our Lord, the Creator of the universe makes all things bright and beautiful and he also makes them well. The Psalmist said, “The heavens declare His glory”. I too paused, soaked in the splendor of the moment and gave thanks for eyes to behold His Majesty through this beautiful night sky. This image also reminded me that even in the midst of the darkest storms and trials, God’s light shines brightly and the darkness cannot overcome it.
Lord, thank you for your creation, for eyes to see your magnificent works and for the assurance that you are always with me.
